From a single flea market table to a growing chain of stores across New Jersey and Connecticut — we built Monmouth Cards because we couldn't find a shop we actually wanted to shop at.
From One Table to Ten Stores
In 2019, our founder Nathan opened a single table at a local flea market in West Long Branch, NJ. No storefront, no website — just a folding table, a few binders, and a genuine love for the hobby.
What started as a weekend side project turned into something bigger. Customers kept coming back — not just for the cards, but for the experience. The knowledge. The community. People wanted a place where they could talk about the hobby with people who actually cared.
By 2021, we had our first brick-and-mortar location. By 2023, we had five. Today, Monmouth Cards operates 9 open locations across New Jersey and Connecticut, with more on the way. We've graded tens of thousands of cards, hosted hundreds of events, and helped thousands of collectors build collections they're proud of.
We're not a corporate card shop. We're collectors who happen to run a business. Every decision we make — from the products we stock to the staff we hire — is made with the collector in mind first.

Our team includes PSA-registered submitters, tournament judges, vintage card specialists, and a few people who have literally turned down jobs at bigger companies to work here. We're proud of that.
