We collect information you provide directly to us when you place an order, create an account, submit a grading order, or contact us. This includes: name, email address, mailing address, phone number, payment details (processed securely — we never store raw card numbers), and communications with our team. We also automatically collect certain technical data when you visit our site: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, referring URLs, pages viewed, and time spent on pages. If you participate in our Loyalty Program, we track points earned, redemptions, and purchase history linked to your account.
We use the information we collect to: process and fulfill your orders; communicate with you about your purchases, grading submissions, or consignment items; send transactional emails (receipts, shipping notifications, PSA return notifications); administer our Loyalty Program and apply points to your account; send marketing communications if you have opted in (you may unsubscribe at any time); improve our website, product selection, and in-store experience; detect and prevent fraudulent transactions; and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Our online store is powered by Shopify Inc. Shopify stores and processes your order data on our behalf. Your payment information is processed through Shopify Payments or other PCI-DSS-compliant payment processors. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. Shopify's privacy policy is available at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy. By purchasing from us, your data is also subject to Shopify's privacy practices.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on our website. These include: Essential cookies — required for the store to function (cart, session); Preference cookies — remember your language and display settings; Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use our site (e.g., Google Analytics); Marketing cookies — used to deliver relevant ads if you have consented. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality.
We share your information only as necessary to operate our business. Third parties we work with include: Shopify (e-commerce platform); payment processors (Stripe, PayPal); shipping carriers (UPS & USPS) who receive your name and delivery address; PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) & CGC for grading submissions you authorize; email service providers for transactional and marketing communications; analytics tools (Google Analytics & Triple Whale); and advertising platforms such as Google Ads, YouTube Ads, TikTok Ads, Meta Ads, and other third-party advertising partners. We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We require our service providers to protect your information consistent with this policy.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Order records are typically retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law. PSA grading submission records may be retained longer to support your warranty and authentication history.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements); opt out of marketing communications (unsubscribe link in every email); and for California residents (CCPA), the right to know what data we collect and request its deletion. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at sales@monmouthcards.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Our website and services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us immediately at sales@monmouthcards.com.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including SSL/TLS encryption, secure payment processing, and access controls limiting who can view your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email. Your continued use of our website following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
